The Star War Among the Three of Rector Candidates of IPB

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) again held the election of its rector for the period 2017-2022. On Monday, 9 October 2017, the Academic Senate of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the  transparency Plenary Session for ratifying the best three Rector Candidate (BCR) of IPB for period of 2017-2022 at the Academic Senate Level.  The meeting was organized at the Senate Meeting Room, Dramaga IPB Campus, Bogor.

Chairman of the Academic Senate (SA) of IPB, Prof. Dr. Tridoyo Kusumastanto, stated that SA IPB has been given authority in the IPB Statute to elect three (3) Rector Candidates from 6 (six) existing Rector Candidates (BCR).

He said that SA of IPB has evaluated various documents submitted to SA IPB related to the five-year Strategic Plan of IPB and has been submitted in the plenary session of IPB Academic Senate. All members have expressed their opinions, and SA IPB considered 3 Candidates of IPB Rector period 2017 -2002 alphabetically as follows:

1.      Dr. Arif Satria

2.      Prof. Dr. M Yusram Massijaya

3.      Prof. Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono

Prof. Tridoyo added that the three Rector Candidates were taken in the deliberation consensus-oriented decision process in the plenary session of SA IPB.

"Today the Academic Senate of IPB submitted official letter No. IPB. 77 / SA-IPB / K 2017 to the Board of Trustees of IPB, containing the Recommendations made as the result of Academic Senate of IPB plenary session, on the establishment of three Rector Candidates of IPB for the period of 2017-2022 for further process. The Board of Trustees then will select one of the three (3) Rector Candidates to be  Rector of the Bogor Agricultural Institute, "he said. (Wied)
