Musrenbang for Better IPB

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) re-planned the development of IPB in the future. The event packed in the Discussion of Planning and Development (Musrenbang) of IPB in 2017, the Discussion of Planned Activity and Budget of IPB in 2018 was held in IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Campus of IPB Baranangsiang, Bogor (28/8).

Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, in his direction conveyed that the country’s financial condition was still very limited to the finance the development of the higher education. "IPB as the State University of Legal Entity (PTN of BH) is considered to have the ability to explore the alternative sources of financing," he said.

In the midst of such limitation, the Rector thanked to the civitas for the dedication for IPB. He said, this year IPB had a lot of achievement incised, although the main role of IPB continued to educate the students to be scholars, masters and doctors which could make the real contribution, also continued to undertake the strategic review and the resulting innovation.

"Today, we do an annual agenda event. Insya Allah it continues to keep the healthy planning process. This is the last Musrenbang in my leadership. Hopefully, it can plan well yearly, which is organized on the basis of a condition colored with the uncertainty. In 2018, it is the last year plan of IPB 2014-2018, the last year of the Strategic Plan to enter the period of the service of the next Rector," he explained.

Some important notes related to the budgeting of IPB in 2018, the Rector conveyed the effectiveness and the efficiency of the budget usage related to the country’s financial condition, the anticipation of the 10 annual crisis, the development of the new funding sources, the increased accountability of the budget usage, the management and the mapping of the human resource needs, the research, the individual performance, the handling of non civil servants and others.(dh)
