The Pre-Academic Workshop of IPB: Evaluation of Management and Nomenclature of Study Programs

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the Pre Academic Workshop "Evaluasi Pengelolaan dan Nomenklatur Program Studi Sarjana (S1), Program Pendidikan Magister (S2), Program Pendidikan Doktor (S3), dan Diploma (the Evaluation of Management and Nomenclature of Undergraduate Program (S1), Master Program (S2), Doctoral Education Program (S3), and Diploma Program)". The workshop was carried out  at the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasoetion, IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor, on 12 September 2017. Recommendations resulted of the workshop will be utilized as the basis for the implementation and development of the quality assurance system for  higher education, as well as for the implementation of learning process in universities. Pre Workshop is aimed to gather opinions and inputs from various parties so that the academic program can be well implemented.

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of IPB, Prof. Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono, stated that the  Pre Workshop was organized in order to plan the educational workshop for the academic development of the Department, the Faculties of IPB. Three speakers from Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) RI, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and Gadjah Mada University  (UGM) were invited as resource persons for  the Pre-Workshop.  "It is expected that those three speakers will provide important inputs for  the management of academic programs for education processes in IPB," he said.

Moderator for the presentation the resource persons was the Director of Development for Academic Program of IPB, Ir. Lien Herlina, M.Sc. Resource person of the  Kemenristekdikti was the Director of Quality Assurance, Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dr. Aris Junaidi; resource person of ITB, was the Head of Informatics Engineering Degree Program, Dr. Eng. Ayu Purwarianti; and resource person of UGM was Dr. Eng. Ir. Sri Peni Wastutiningsih.

Special guests for the Pre-Workshop among others were Vice Rector of Resources and Strategic Studies of IPB, Prof. Dr. Hermanto Siregar; Deans and vice Deans; Chairman of the Department, lecturer, and researchers of IPB. (Wied)
