Friday Tour, IPB Focused on the Food Health Problem
Team of Friday Tour of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) arrived at Cihideung Udik Village, Ciampea Sub-district, Bogor District, Friday (21/7). This year, the activity of the Friday Tour of IPB focused on the hygiene of the food health for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in the villages around campus. The Friday Tour Activity in Cihideung Udik Village located in Majelis Al-Hidayah, Kampung Cinangneng RT.04 RW. 01.
Chairman of RW 01, Jaenudin, thanked to IPB which was judged to have done the guidance and the coaching to the residents around campus, especially Cihideung Udik Village in the field of the agriculture in a broad sense. Even IPB was also considered to have helped many orphans around campus. “Hopefully, IPB will continue to nurture and assist the residents around campus which always need all help that can improve the welfare of the residents,” he said.
Chairman of the entourage of the Friday Tour of IPB, the Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) of IPB, Prof.Dr.drh. Srihadi Agung Priyono, said that, one of the noble tasks of IPB was the dedication to the community included in Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. All this time, IPB provided the assistance and the partnership to provide the immediate benefits to the environment, one of the villages around campus.
On this occasion, Prof. Srihadi also appealed to the residents of Cihideung Udik Village not to hesitate to come to IPB. The farmers could ask the questions about the matters related to the agriculture widely, starting from its products and its processing. Please come to IPB. The existence of IPB should be utilized by the residents around campus. Not only the problem of plants, any aspect could be asked by the residents.
“Hope for the future of the residents around campus will learn to seek the knowledge in IPB, then they can have the lecture and study in IPB. We invite the children around campus who have the high educational achievement to study in IPB. Most importantly, there are the willingness and the hardwork to learn. Show good learning achievement,” said Prof. Srihadi in front of the residents.
The Friday Tour was coupled with the giving of the compensation to 20 orphans, the provision of the assistance of facilities for the actors of Micro, Small and Medium Enteprises (UMKM), the provision of the medical devices for Integrated Service Post, the provision of the learning tools for PAUD, the provision of Iqro and Alquran books for the majelis taklim, and the provision of the community nutrition and the health services. Also present in this opportunity among others Agrianita of IPB, the team of Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) of IPB, and the team of Public Relations of IPB.
