Environmental degradation is the disintegration of the earth or deterioration of the environment through consumption of assets, for example, air, water and soil; the destruction of environments and the eradication of wildlife. The life of the creature will be in danger if environment goes on deteriorating. This is now becoming possible by enhancing eco-consciousness both among the producers as well as the consumers. The situation has encouraged the development of innovative product that promote the natural and environmentally friendly features. More and more it seems that designers are heeding a rising demand for inventions that are both useful and ecologically sensitive, one of which is "Creamy". This product is made of  natural materials and was developed by students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bogor Agricultural University (FKH IPB). The group was funded by Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM Student Creativity Program), they were consisted of Rina Astuti, Yoga Rivaldi, Nabillah Ananda Sakinah, Annisa Zikriatin Nafilah, and Seftian Syahri Putra. They have successfully developed an anti-miasis cream drug. Myiasis is the parasitic infestation of the body of a live mammal by fly larvae (maggots) that grow inside the host while feeding on its tissue.

The ideas of Myiasin control medication had been inspired by the  experiences of Rina and her team while they were implementing their field works in Lombok. There are a lot of cattle that were exposed to Myiasin, but they were not treated appropriately by  farmers. It was caused by the expensive price of imported Myiasin medications and farmers, the prices are unaffordable for local farmers.

Myiasis may be caused in human hosts by several species of arthropods of the order Diptera, the two-winged true fly. Fly species that normally breed in meat or carrion (Diptera: Calliphoridae, Sarcophagidae) may become involved in cutaneous myiasis by colonizing preexisting wounds. Some species of larvae remain within the decaying tissue, while other species continue feeding on living tissue nearby, and may produce subcutaneous nodules, If uncontrolled causing deep and irritating lesions highly subject to infection, or will reduce productivity of breeding pairs. Creamy Cream contains bengkuang seeds extract, it is  produced to control the Myiasis problem. Cream also serves as a pesticide for injured animals infected by flies. "Bengkuang seeds contain Rotenon compounds that function as insecticides against flies," said Rina, Chairman of PKM group Creamy products.

The advantages of Creamy products, it highlighted in addition to the affordable price of Rp 50 thousand per bottle. "The Creamy is made of  natural ingredients, it will minimize chemical residues left behind. This product also utilizes the waste of bengkuang seeds supplied by bengkuang farmers of Bogor, "he added.

Hope in the future this product will be alternative for imported Myiasis medication which is expensive. These findings may contribute to improving the productivity of quality livestock in Indonesia. (Wied)
