US Cards: Creative Dakwah for Syariah Economics

The interest of Islamic economics is showing a positive trend currently. Three students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) from the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM IPB) saw this as an opportunity, and they have transformed it into an idea to be the object for their Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa Bidang Pengabdian Masyarakat (PKM-M – the Student Creativity Program for Community Service). The group of students who are interested on this program are: (1). Retno Khoirunnisa (Sharia Economy 2014); (2). Annissa Permata (Sharia Economy 2014); (3). Siti Utami Amanda (Sharia Economics 2014); (4). Nur Kholis Hanifah (Science Communication of Community Development 2014); and (5). Nunuh Nugraha (Chemistry 2015), they have initiated a program on "US Card: UNO Syariah", Innovative Learning Media on Islamic economics for SMA through Learn, Play, Implement Method.

As an innovated "creative dakwah", the uniqueness of the US lies in the card content that tells the various knowledge of sharia economics which closely related to daily activities, which include: Trade Practices, the charity, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS), ethics of Loan Debt., and Syariah Business.

"The US is also presented in two levels of game: Basic and Advance. Selection of the four contents is based on consideration for easy to understand and can be applied in everyday life. Although the content presented is very much different from the UNO in general, the US will not lose the essence of the game's excitement. Because US also presents Riba Card, Quiz Card, and Reverse Card. In addition, to facilitate understanding  of rules with these cards, in every US set includes My Kit as a guide book," said Retno.

The program had selected SMAN 5 Bogor as a school partner. This cooperation program enabled IPB students to take the class X students of IPA involved over the interest of Economics, as well as invited the teacher to become one of the attractive learning media in school.

"In addition, the group also invited other nine student volunteers of IPB from different Departments involved in this program. It is expected that the PKM-M team will continue to respond to the challenges and needs of the community regarding the importance of understanding sharia economy to synergize the daily economic activities (mu'amalah) according to the Islamic Shari'a, "they said.
