The management of the forest resources with the community was intended to give direction of the forest resources management by combining the aspects of economics, ecological and social proportionally in order to achieve the sovereignty of the sustainable forest.

“The existence of the community living around the forest having the access directly and indirectly toward the forest area and making use of the forest resource is a reality that can not be ignored. This condition must be positive and negative impacts on the forest sustainability. The forest management failure occured during this time is not caused by the technical factor alone, but it is more caused by the social factor. Therefore, the good forest management not only takes notice to the technical aspect of the forest management, but also it must pay attention to the social and environmental aspects,” he explained.
