Friday Tour of IPB in Purwasari Village

Team of Friday Tour of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) arrived in Kampung Cisasah, Purwasari Village, Dramaga Sub-district, Bogor District, Friday (9/9). The presence of the team of the Friday Tour of IPB led by Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) of IPB, Prof.Dr.drh. Srihadi Agungpriyono, was warmly welcomed by hundreds of the interested residents who were waiting since in the morning. 

 

“The residents of Kampung Cisasah indeed expect the arrival of the team of the Friday Tour of IPB in their kampung. They want to meet with the experts of IPB, particularly to establish the Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya), in order to improve the residents’ welfare,” explained the Village Head of Purwasari, M. Yusup Mustofa.

 

On this occasion, the Village Head also thanked to IPB that was judged to have a lot of accompanying as well as fostering the community of Purwasari Village, especially in the sectors of agriculture, fishery and livestock.  “We hope that the residents in Kampung Cisasah RW. 5 can be managed like other kampung in Purwasari Village, which has already got the assistance from IPB,” he added.

 

Warcito, SP, MM representing the Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) of IPB said, the working program of the Friday Tour of IPB in the year of 2016 consisted of four fields, namely the nutritious garden and the family medicinal plants; the improvement of the community health; the development of rice of IPB 3S; and the development of Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises (UMKM). 

 

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the entourage of the team of Friday Tour of IPB, Prof.Dr.drh. Srihadi Agungpriyono, had the opportunity to provide the counseling related to the preparation of the anniversary of Idul Adha 1437 H. He said, it should be in the implementation of this sacrificial worship, every resident paid attention to the elements of secure, healthy, intact, and halal (ASUH) in addressing the sacrificial animals. 

 

The Friday Tour of IPB was coupled with the free of charge health services by the team of Dompet Dhuafa, the socialization of Prosperous Family Service Center (PPKS) of Agrianita of IPB, the granting of donations to 20 orphans, the provision of equipment for Early Childhood Education Program (PAUD), and the giving of Al-Quran to a local Majelis Taklim.

 

Also presented in the entourage of the Friday Tour of IPB this time among others Professor of FKH of IPB, Prof.Dr.drh. Arief Budiono, and the team of Agrianita of IPB. (Awl)
