Business Simulation of New Students of FEM of IPB

More than 500 new students of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) 53rd batch followed the introduction of the faculty (28-29/8) in the Auditorium Common Class Room (CCR) of IPB, Campus of IPB Darmaga Bogor. The event officially opened by the Dean of FEM, Dr. Yusman Syaukat, was attended by the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs of FEM, Dr. Lukman M Baga, the Vice Dean of Resource, Cooperation and Development, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Firdaus, the Chairmen of Departments, the Secretary of Department, and the Chairman of Study Program in the FEM of IPB. 

 

In this activity, the new students got the material on IPB, the academic and the student affairs in the FEM. To add to the spirit of learning of the new students, it held two sessions of talk show. The first talk show discussed about the student achievement, that brought the students having the achievement from various fields. The second session of talk show brought the alumni of the FEM of IPB who had careers in various fields. Other than that, it was also held the role play of the business simulation. 

 

The representative of the committee, Gunawan, conveyed that the role play activity of this business simulation aimed to foster the entrepreneurial spirit, to train the creative thinking, and to train the communication skill. Other than that, the activity also aimed to introduce one of the fields related to the FEM namely business, but through a fun approach and familiarity.(RF)
