Thousand of Incoming New Students of both Undergraduate and Graduate Studies Program of IPB Undertaking their Registration Processes at Darmaga Campus, Bogor

On 30 May – 2 June 2016  as many as 2,300 (two thousand three hundred) new undergraduate program students of Institut Pertanian Bogor (Bogor Agricultural University) who had passed the Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN National Selection for State Universities System) arrived at IPB campus to do their admission processes. Again, on Thursday-Friday, 18-19 August 2016 at Grha Widya Graduation building, Campus IPB, Darmaga, Bogor, another group of 1,683 (one thousand six hundred and eighty three) new undergraduate program students who had passed various selection systems other than  SNMPTN came to do their admission processes. 1,170  (one thousand one hundred sevventy) out of those total number are those who had passed Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN Joint Selection for State Universities System), 300 (three hundred) students passed the Ujian Talenta Masuk IPB (UTMI Exam Talented Test to IPB Systm), 180 (one hundred eighty) Beasiswa Utusan Daerah (BUD Regional Representative Scholarship), 6 (six) from Prestasi Internasional dan Nasional (PIN International National based Achievement Test System), and 27 (twenty seven) from Program Afirmasi Pendidikan Tinggi (ADik Affirmation of Higher Education Program). 
 
SBMPTN is one of the national written selection system for the State Universities; UTMI is IPB-based leadership, entrepreneurship, and farming admission system for undergraduates of IPB. Whereas BUD is the admission system for both undergraduate and graduate studies program of IPB, whom the applicants for this system are  recommended and their funding support will be shouldered by the government, provincial governments, companies or private institutions. Upon completing their studies at IPB they have to return to their home institutions or  their origins.
 
PIN is the new admission system applied by IPB.  The newly introduced system is to provide opportunities for high school students who have outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities both national and international to pursue their studies in IPB.  ADik 3T is the concern of the government program for the Papua, West Papua, outermost and other  disadvantaged Regions (3T) of Indonesia for them to have equal opportunities to have high-quality education.
