Indorempah is a drink of spices formulated by creative hands of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), so there is no doubt about the drink quality and benefits. Indorempah been tested in South East Asian Food and Agricultural Science and Technology Center (SEAFAST), Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of IPB.
 
Indorempah is made without preservatives and chemicals, thus without side effects. The idea of making Indorempah came from a student of the Department of Resource and Environmental Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB, Alfi Irfan. Indorempah is composed of red ginger, cumin, cloves, Java chili, black pepper, brown sugar, cane sugar, cinnamon and anise.
 
Red ginger as one of the main components in Indorempah, containing gingerol, shogaol and zingerone that provide pharmacological and physiological effects such as anti-oxidants, anti-inflammation, analgesic, anti-cancer, non-toxic and non-mutagenic in the body. Ginger may also reduce the risk of heart disease, increase stamina and improve blood circulation. "Instead of taking drugs made from chemicals that clearly damage our bodies, it is better to drink Indorempah, a herbal with a lot of benefits," Alfi said.
 
Unlike the herbal beverage products sold in the market, Indorempah has a very luxurious packaging and impression. This is the special attraction for buyers. One box of Indorempah weighing 100 grams contains five sachets. In the local market, Indorempah is sold at Rp 15,000, – while abroad sold Rp 45.000, -. Along with awareness of healthy living, consumers from Singapore, Chile, South Africa and Latin America are interested in buying the Indorempah product through online sales and social media.
 
The energy contained in a sachet or 20 grams of Indorempah is 79 kilocalories and the carbohydrate is 19 grams. Generally Indorempah has such advantages as improving clogged blood circulation, lowering high blood pressure, making the heart healthy, making the body more powerful, healing insomnia, improving the digestive system, keeping your body warm, helping anorexia (no appetite) to stimulate eating appetite, and increasing stamina and immunity.
 
In addition to giving profit to Alfi’s business, Indorempah also provides a sustainable social impact. This is because the production, processing, and packaging of Indorempah involves the wives of rural farmers in the villages around IPB campus, namely Banteng Village, Ciampea District of Bogor Regency.
