IPB gives General Lecture on Career Preparation at Pre-Graduation

Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Affairs (CDA), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) again gave a job briefing through a General Lecture before the graduation ceremony. This event, involving prospective graduates in Phase II of Graduation Ceremony for 2015/2016, was held on Monday (19/10), at the Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasution, Dramaga Campus, Bogor.

 

It was officially opened with a speech by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono. In his speech Prof. Yonny said that the next challenge for the graduates is extraordinary, it takes creativity and competence to deal with it.

 

"Furthermore, now we’re in the midst of various disasters that have not ended yet. In such circumstances, creativity becomes the main point. We expect IPB graduates to be able to contribute to tackling issues such as this with creativity and competence already acquired, including to be able to live independently with the competencies that have been developed during the studies," explained Prof. Yonny.

 

Also on this occasion Director of CDA-IPB, Dr. Syarifah Iis Aisyah, said that IPB give more attention to the graduates to face the post-college life. She told that one function of CDA is to minimize the waiting time for employment after graduation. Hopefully, through this kind of training, prospective graduates can prepare themselves after graduation.

 

Present as speakers for the event were, among others, Vice President of Customer Care Group Bank Mandiri, Gempur Soesetyo Hadi; Executive Coach and Strategic Action & Rumah Perubahan, Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of IPB. Both are alumni of IPB in Batch 22 called "Grhasita", having this year as its 30th birthday (Mtd)
