Leader of Friday Tour Team of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof.Dr. Slamet Budijanto, encouraged tens of orphans in Petir Village, Dramaga Sub-district, Bogor District to study hard and improve the achievement. “Our expectation is, the children of the village around the campus of IPB can continue the school and go to college in IPB. Showing good performances at school well, studying dilligently. Do not think about the cost issue. In IPB, a lot of scholarships, especially for children who can not afford but have high achievements at school, are scholarships in IPB, called Mission Viewfinder (http://admisi.ipb.ac.id/p/single/bidikmisi). The children must have willingness to go forward, show with high determination, learn and continue to learn, in the future can go to college in IPB as the students who are proud of by the village and IPB,” said Vice Dean of Resources, Cooperation and Development, Faculty of Agricultural Technology of IPB.
 
Secretary of Petir Village, Wildan, thanked to IPB that had become a partner and fostered residents of Petir, especially in the field of agriculture. It was said, Petir Village was one of the villages with the largest agricultural area in Dramaga Sub-district.“We will maintain the agricultural area in Petir Village. Therefore, the assistance and partnership of IPB to farmers in Petir Village are highly expected. During this time, IPB has helped the farmers to get better, such as improved irrigation, to diversity of the training which can increase the knowledge in the field of agriculture as a whole,“ he said.
 
On this occasion, also attended Chief of Police Sector of Dramaga, AKP Syaifuddin Gayo, who socialized around the issue of security in the middle of residents. The activity of Friday Tour of IPB was filled with the giving of tausiyah, the compensation for 20 orphans, and the giving equipment of the purpose of madrasah and Early Childhood Education (PAUD), and the health equipment for Integrated Service Post. Presented in the entourage of Friday Tour of IPB this time, including Deputy Head of Community Service of Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB, Dr. Hartoyo, the representation of Human Resources Development Center (P2SDM) LPPM IPB, Warcito.
