To implement the Tri Dharma College, especially the community service, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bogor Agricultural University (FKH IPB) again planned to have  animal health and inspection program for the animal sacrifice’ meats on Eid al-Adha 1436 H / 2015. As present, the FKH-IPB team is consisted of 598 students who were despatched by Rector, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, on Thursday,  17 September 2015, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine campus, Dramaga, Bogor.
 
In his remarks, Rector expressed his strong support for the implementation of this voluntary program. "This is an extraordinary activity. Amid the difficulties facing local authorities, we provide free assistance, as the slaughter of sacrificial animals usually is not performed in the slaughterhouses (RPH). Amid the budgetary gloom we are there to assist  the communities by providing animal health inspectors for sacrificial animals to ensure the healthy animal sacrifices, "said Rector.
 
"My request for you as animal health inspectors, you have to straighten out and act as worship and profession calling attention, prepare yourself properly keep cooperate together as a team," said Rector.
 
Animal health inspection for meat of the animal sacrifices and their meats have been the routine programs of FKH IPB since 1984. Each year FKH IPB send more than its 400 students as animal health inspectors to various regions.
 
Currently FKH IPB sends animal health inspectors to both city and regency of Bogor, Depok, and six other areas in Jakarta, including the Kepulauan Seribu. In addition, as many as fifty (50) faculty members of FKH-IPB will participate the inspection program. Students and the faulty members of FKH-IPB will leave for their assigned locations on the H-1 to the area Kepulauan Seribu, Bogor, and Depok. Whereas for other five areas in Jakarta and Bogor they will leave on the day of Eid al-Adha 1436 H / 2015 AD. (Wied)
