Regent of Padang Lawas: The Presence of IPB was Very Awaited

 

Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, and Regent of Padang Lawas, H. Ali Sutan Harahap, signed the text of the agreement and the cooperation about “Beasiswa Utusan Daerah / Regional Representative Scholarship” in the Meeting Room of Rector of Andi Hakim Nasoetion, Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor, Friday (31/7). In this occasion, the Regent presented along with a number of Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) / Regional Work Unit. 

 

The Rector of IPB in his speech conveyed that the expectations of the younger generation in Padang Lawas District could gain the knowledge in IPB and increase the expertise as the provision to build Padang Lawas District. 

 

In line with the Rector, the Regent conveyed the same thing, “Our expectations are that the students from Padang Lawas District can be accepted to learn in IPB, and become the high achieving students, so they can come home to build the area”. The Regent added, the presence of IPB in the region he led was very awaited in order to build and develop the sectors of agriculture, plantation, fishery, animal husbandry, forestry and economics. 

 

Appeared to be present in this occasion amongst all Secretary of the Institute of IPB, Dr. Ibnu Qayim, Dean of Faculty of Forestry of IPB, Dr. Rinekso Soekmadi, Chairman of Department of Management of Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB, Dr. Mukhamad Najib, and Head of Sub Directorate of Cooperation, Directorate of Cooperation and International Program of IPB, Dr. Fadjar Satrija.
