Biofarmaka Center of the Institute of Research and Community Empowerment of IPB (LPPM IPB), in cooperation with PT. Barca Niaga Medika Jakarta (BNM), organized a seminar ++ with the theme "Production of Marker Compound for Standardization of Jamu Material and Product By Centrifugal Partition Chromathography (CPC) Technologies", on Wednesday-Thursday, 10-11 June 2015. The venue of the seminar was the IPB Campus, Taman Kencana, Bogor, and was attended by 25 participants from several universities, R & D Centers for Traditional Medicines (Herbs), LIPI, School of Pharmacy and some or industrial companies  engaged in traditional medicine.
 
The Head of PSB of LPPM IPB, Dr. Irmanida Batubara, in her opening remarks she stated that the seminar was organized to obtain information regarding the chromatographic separation techniques with Centrifugal Partition Chromathography (CPC) technology, or commonly known as the Counter Current Chromatography (CCC).
 
"The goal of this technology is to isolate the maximum amount of a specific compound with high purity, fast and without using silica column or other supporting media. Seminars++ can be interpreted as a plus because the ingredients plus practical works, so that the result is positive and better for the advancement of traditional medicine or herbal medicine, "he explained.
 
Resource persons invited for the seminar were, (1). The Chief of PSB of LPPM IPB Laboratory, Rudi Heryanto, M.Si, he presented his presentation on "Primary Bookmarks for Faction of enriched Bioactive Compounds in Herbal Drug Standardization", (2). Dr. Gomathi Chan,  from PT. Gilson Corporation Malaysia; and (3). Prof. Dr Unang Supratman, from Padjadjaran University, Bandung. (Wied)
