Trash Pick Up Movement of Discourse Forum of IPB in Jalan Bara

Hundreds of volunteers who were members of Trash Pick Up Movement (Rakpungpah) conducted the trash pick up activity in Jalan Babakan Raya (Bara) and its surrounding, Saturday (28/2). The volunteers were the students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), both Postgraduate’s students and Scholar’s students. While Jalan Bara was selected because this area was made as the food court for students and community. 

 

Environmental care action held by Postgraduate’s Student Forum (Discourse Forum) of IPB was officially opened by Secretary of Master Program IPB, Prof.Dr Nahrowi. Appeared to be present was Village Head of Babakan, Syaehu, as well as providing the support toward the program having the tagline “Menuju Bara IBADAH (Indah, Bersih, Aman, Damai, Asri, Hijau) / Heading to Bara IBADAH (Beautiful, Clean, Safe, Peaceful, Lovely, Green).”

 

General Secretary of Discourse Forum, Adi Sutrisno, explained that actualizing ‘Bara IBADAH’ was targeted for five years. ”This kind of work is not easy. Not only changing environment, but also changing the mindset of people. This movement will be routinized every end of month and intended to form a community of caring trash,” explained Adi who was accompanied by Chief Executive, Dafit Ariyanto. (AS)
