Biofarmaka Gelar Pelatihan Standardisasi Obat Herbal
To maintain the quality and consistency of herbal medicine, Pusat Studi Biofarmaka Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PSB LPPM – Center of Biopharmaceutical of the Institute of Research and Community Empowerment (PSB LPPM) has organized the Training Course on the Standardization of Herbal Medicine. The event was implemented at Campus IPB, Taman Kencana. The training course which was attended by 30 participants, was officially opened by the Head of PSB LPPM, Prof.Dr. Latifah Kadarusman. In her opening remarks, Prof. Latifah said, the objectives of the training course is to disseminate the standardization concept of herbal medicine. It is expected that the participants will utilize and implement the quality standards from upstream to downstream. PSB LPPM, as the Center of Excellent is deserved to share its knowledge to other biopharmaceutical centers. PSB is open to anyone for consultation on related subject coverage, of course certain regulations is applicable for a maximum services.
Further, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Mohammed Rafi, said that this special course is really interesting and demanded by plenty of enthusiastic participants, however due to the limited slots available, only limited participants are invited. Ideally the training course is limited for 25 participants only, but unable to reject other enthusiastic participants, finally the Organizing Committee has maximized its slots into 30 participants. Dr. Mohammed Rafi, faculty member of Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA-IPB), expects that the participants will follow the full course, and apologize as the OC unable to accommodate all the applicants. Hopefully, they will be successful in the next opportunities.
Participants the training course were from various Universities, Research and Development Institutions, such as the private sector, PT. Dexa Medical, PT. Paphros, PT. Neumedik, Sucofindo, Balatif, Dipa Pharma Lab, and of Chemistry Farma. According to Pariwara of IPB, such course was really well-prepared by the Organizing Committee. When the opening ceremony was terminated, participants were invited for group photo outside the room, they seemed happy to follow the direction given by the photographer, young cadre of PR who is originally from Biofarmaka, Ms. Titis Arifiana, S.Si. (Wied).
