KEB, Hana Bank, Gives Scholarships to IPB’s Students Tuesday, November 04, 2014
Korean Exchange Bank (KEB), Hana Bank, again gives scholarships to the students of IPB. This was symbolically submitted at Wisma Mulya Lt. 23 by President Director of Hana Bank, Lee Jae Hak (20/10). In this period, there are five universities that receive this scholarship, namely Bogor Agricultural University, University of Indonesia, State University of Jakarta, National University, and University of Atmadjaja. This scholarship is provided for the period of 2014-2015 academic years worth US$ 500 per student. There are 10 selected students of IPB to obtain this scholarship.
IPB representatives attending this ceremony consisted of 5 scholarship recipients of IPB accompanied by Head of Sub Directorate of Student Welfare, Dr. Megawati Simanjuntak, S.P, M.Sc. The students representing this scholarship handover are Edo Rahardi Primary (Department of Computer Science, 2010), Andri Afrianto (Department of Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism, Batch 2010), Rici Tri Harpin (Department of Communication Science and Community Development, Batch 2010), Sabrina Haisyah (Department of Veterinary Medicine, batch 2010), and Agus Harianto (Department of Agribusiness, Batch 2010).
Lee Jae Hak as President of Hana Bank said, "Indonesian students are the future generation of Indonesia and become the foundation of the Indonesia’s future. Therefore, it is essential to support for the betterment of Indonesia. Hopefully the bilateral cooperation between Korea and Indonesia continues to perform well and Hana Bank can continue doing business in Indonesia."
In the speech given by Andri Afrianto, IPB representatives receiving the KEB scholarship expressed deep gratitude to the Hana Bank for the aid given. Andri also added, we will use the scholarship in the best possible way and promise to study harder. Hopefully this scholarship can motivate them more in the future. (Mtd)
