Succession of IPB’s Board of Trustee (MWA) Members Friday, August 5, 2014
Right on the 51st anniversary of Bogor Agricultural University, 1 September 2014, the Academic Senate held a succession ceremony of IPB’s Board of Trustees members from the period 2012-2014 to the period 2014-2019.
Head of Academic Senate, Prof. Tridoyo Kusumastanto as the Chairman of the meeting, said, "MWA has a strategic role in the future development of IPB. As stated in the long-term vision of IPB, IPB become the lead in strengthening the dignity of the nation through excellent higher education at the global level in the field of agriculture, marine, and tropical biosciences. MWA is required to carry out its duties and functions well, able to work together with other organs of IPB: Academic Senate, Council of Professors, and Rector."
As sated in the statute of IPB number 66/2013 which has been validated by the president, some of the tasks and functions of MWA include appointing and dismissing the Rector, establishing general policy, conducting general supervision and controlling over the management of non-academic areas, maintaining and improving financial health.
The succession of MWA member was marked by the reading of Minister of Education and Culture Decree, number 165 / MPN.A4 / KP / 2014, on the dismissal of old members of MWA and the appointment of new members, and the signing of the handover or succession manuscript witnessed by Chairmen of Academic Senate, Council of Professor, Rector, and other invitees including ‘the news hunter ‘.

Education and Culture Minister of RI elements, IPB Rector, From the Academic Senate are eight people: Prof. Muhammad Ahmad Chozin, Prof. Aunu Rauf, Prof. Fachriyan H.Pasaribu, Prof. Tun Tedja Irrawaddy, Prof. Cecelia Kusmana, Prof. Rizal Syarif Sjaiful Nazli, Prof. Erika B.Lakoni, Prof. Roedhy Poerwanto. From the Society elements are four people: Dr. (Hc) Chairul Tanjung, MBA, Erick Thohir, MBA., and Dr. Akhmad Mukhlis Yusuf. From the educational personnel element is Dr.Cahyono Tri Wibowo, and the alumni element is Bambang Hendroyono MM, and from the student element is the President of the Student, Diki Saefurohman.
