The AgriSocio Team of IPB Won the 2nd for the 2014NationalTeam Danone Young Social Entrepreneur Competition
On Thursday,12 June 2014, at exactly 16:00 o?clock at Danone Academy, 2ndCyber Building 9thFloor, the AgriSocioTeam of IPB for Danone Young Social Entrepreneur competition 2014 proudly announced its prestigious achievement as the second winner of the event. The achievement has recorded the new history for the team ofBogor Agricultural University which was qualifiedfor the final stage of this prestigious competition. The AgriSocioteam consisted of five outstanding students of IPB, namely AdhiHardiansyah (Department of Economics Environmental Resources), DeryErmawanMasyudi (Department of Chemistry), Muhamad Umar Said Muksini (Department of Science and Food Technology), DeantyMuliaRamadhani (Department of Economics Environmental Resources), and PararawendyIndarjo (Department of Mathematics).

Danone Young Social Entrepeneur (DYSE) is a unique social entrepeneurship competition among Indonesia university students which based on Danone Sustainability Development Program. The competition is organized to in order to trigger the development of social entrepreneurship in Indonesia to practice development grows good, equitable, and sustainable. The competition was divided into 3 phases. The first stage is the university level selection by Campus Manager in various Indonesian universities. In the second phase of the semi-final stage where 12 teams will be selected, and the third stage is the final stage where the 5Top ?teamsfrom the second stage will be selected. The top five teams will receive developmentfundgrants, scholarship for each student, and mentoring programs by Danone Indonesia for 9 months. this year There were 9 University who went into the semi-final stage, namely IPB, UGM, UI, ITB, ITS, PRASMUL, USU, TRISAKTI, and Diponegoro University.

There are at least three criteria in the competition process of DYSE. The first is a proposal that consists of innovative ideas, SWOT analysis, sustainability programs, rationalization of activities, socialinfluence, and economics influence. The second is a presentation consisting of public speaking skills, content, booth displays, and the ability to answer questions. The third is composed of teamwork motivation and equitable contribution. The whole process of this competition are given in English. AgriSocio is social enterprise which is engaged in agriculture, and its objective isto encourage young people to contribute for rural development with local branding. AgriSocio developed the concept ?Penta Movements to solve problems in education, environment, technology, economics, social and related fields agriculture.

AgriSociowas established on October 2013 and is currently working with SEAFAST IPB in the development of local branding in 17 villages around IPB campus. The 2014 achievement is the second for the AgriSocio team to win the prestigious competition, which previously the team won the ?Young Social Entrepreneur organized by the Singapore International Foundation. AgriSocio also invites students of IPB to develop their soft skills and life skills through their business with a social orientation through volunteering programs. Currently AgriSociois undertaking the internationalYouth Competition organized by UNESCO. AgriSocio hope the academic communities of IPB support by voting its program through or . (Wied).
