ITK Marine Biodiversity Photo Hunt

Since 2009 Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) has proclaimedthat the University is so concerned on the conservation of Biodiversity. In order to promote and supportthe this conservation program, the Department of Marine Sciences and Technology (ITK), through the Laboratory of Biodiversity and Marine Biosystematics in collaboration with the Marine Science and Technology Diving School – IPB (MST-DS) from 13th April – 21May 2014 launched PramukaIsland and DramagaCampusphoto contests on "Marine Biodiversity photo Hunt".

 

The serial activities  planned for this  photo contests were Pramuka Island and surrounding areas pictures taking  on 13-14 April 2014, then the editing process of those photos selection for  their entrieson 15 April – 10 May 2014. On 10-14 May 2014, those entries then will be judged by Juries for this contest who were consisted of Dr.MujizatKawaroe, AdrianiSunuddin, M.Si,and other faculty members of FPIK IPB. On 14 May 2014 the nominated photos will be  exhibited at FPIK. Approximately 50 contestants participated in this photo contest. Dr..HawisMadduppa, as the coordinator for this event hopes that this event could arouse the awareness of IPB students on the biodiversity conservation in Indonesia. MST-DS IPB will grant the winners of the photo contest free diving training program. (Wied).
