Local Government of Tabalong District Tabalong and PT. Adaro Greet Gathering of Students of BUD IPB
Local Government of Tabalong District together with PT. Adaro Indonesia visited to Bogor Agricultural University, Saturday (26/4). This activity was conducted in the context of friendship and establising the strong collaboration. One of the agenda of this activity was the meeting with the students of IPB. This meeting with the students of IPB was carried out in the Session Room on 6th Floor, Andi Hakim Nasoetion (AHN) Building, Campus of IPB Dramaga. This meeting was attended by the students of IPB coming from Tabalong District, Balangan, Barito Koala, Eastern Barito, and Southern Barito.
Director of Diploma Program of IPB, Dr. Bagus Priyo Purwanto said, “We thank the Regent and his staff because they has been entrusted their sons and daughters to study at IPB. Hopefully after graduated they will be beneficial for Tabalong District.”
General Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT. Adaro Energy, Okty Damayanti said, was a happiness of PT. Adaro Indonesia that they could participate in improving the quality of human resources. “We really want to support the development in the regional areas in form of scholarship. We commit to give birth the young leaders from IPB, so that later the human resources in the district will be better and advanced. I am proud of younger siblings to be able to fight and compete at IPB to promote the regional development later.” Further Okty said her hope, “Hopefully more and more outstanding students and I hope after graduating later, these students can be back to the regional areas to dig the regional potential, recalling quite a lot potential areas which are undeveloped.”
Regent of Tabalong, H. Anang Syakhfiani expected that with this friendship the students coming from Tabalong to be more motivated to be more dilligent and active learning. “I hope the younger siblings will soon finish their studies at IPB and be back to their areas. Our regional areas are requiring your energy and mind to develop the regional development, specifically the agricultural sector in the broad sense,” said H. Anang Syakhfiani.
H. Anang Syakhfiani also instructed the students, that togetherness during the dispersed abroad could make the younger siblings more solid. “I thank to the leaders of IPB on the opportunity given to our sons and daughters. Hopefully the existing cooperation can be increased further, so that it opens the greater opportunity in Tabalong District to multiply leaders which have been educated at IPB. I also hope that our children can become the prime movers of development in Tabalong area,” added H. Anang Syakhfiani.
In this activity the implementation of the delivery of aid to the achiever students were. Rinawati, the student of Department of Nutritional Science, Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA), IPB followed the Scholarship of Regional Representative (BUD) program with the IPK 4.00, and Hanifullah Habibie, the student of BUD Program from Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), IPB.
