In the framework of implementing the Fostering Frontiers of Practical Solutions in a Population-Activities-Resources-Environment (PARE) Chain 2014 Program, the Directorate of Cooperation and International Programs (KSPI) of IPB in collaboration with the Schoolof Graduate Studies (SPS) and Forumfor Students of the Graduate Studies Program of IPB (Forum Wacana), the University organized the socialization program on 12 April 2014, at the Wing of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building2nd Floor, DramagaCampus, Bogor. PARE is the exchange program for graduate students, especially for the masteral degree program among various universities in Indonesia (IPB, ITB and UGM), in Thailand (Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, and Thamasat University), and Japan (Hokkaido University) which was started on 2012.
 
This Socialization Program was intended to increase the student interests in the PAREprogram, as well as other student mobility programs in general. The increasing number of  applicantswill result in improving their competitive ability and the quality candidates.Topicsplanned for the socialization program include: the International Cooperation Development of the Schoolof the GraduateStudies Program of IPB, presented by Prof. Nahrowi (Secretary of the Masteral Degree Program), Overviewof PARE Program by Prof. HannyWijaya (IPB’PARE Program Coordinator), and Preparation of Study Abroad by Dr.EkoHariPurnomo (Head of Sub-Directorate of International Cooperation of KSPI). To provide more  information, the Organizing Committee invited alumniof PARE fellows to share their valuable experiences they got for the prospective candidates. The present PARESocialization Program was attended by more than 100 students.(Wied).
