Again Three Departments of IPB Get International Accreditation

Quality Assurance of HEIs in ASEAN (AUN-QA), an international accreditation agency for Southeast Asia made a visit to Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The visiting team came to IPB to review the accreditation proposals of the Department of Animal Production and Technology, the Department of Nutrition and Feed Technology and the Department of Communication Science and Community Development.
Dr. Ir. Ferdinand Yulianda, Head of Quality Management IPB said the visit was to determine an international accreditation certification. IPB has previously submitted documents related to the international accreditation to AUN- QA based in Bangkok. As a follow up, the agency conducted a visit in order to synchronize the document sent by IPB with the existing facts.
The visit will take place for three days to see the facilities and the learning process as well as various aspects related to the accreditation standards of education – whether the education is conforming to the standards of AUN-QA.
Dr. Fredinan hopes this process can run well as for IPB this process of accreditation by AUN-QA is not the first time. Earlier the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Plant Protection and Aquaculture have been successful in acquiring an international accreditation of AUN-QA. The reviewing team involves the Deputy Executive Director of AUN-QA, six teams of assessors from the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. (Mtd)
