University of Teuku Umar Teams Up with IPB in Research Cooperation

University of Teuku Umar (UTU) of West Aceh cooperates with IPB in research, education and community services. The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out in the Meeting Room of the IPB’s Community Services and Research Institution (LPPM), (13/6). In his speech, IPB Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yonny Koesmaryono, MS said that Teuku Umar University and IPB have had a good relationship for a long time, ranging from lecturer internship by University of Teuku Umar in IPB to the many IPB alumni who have served as lecturers at University of Teuku Umar.
 
Further, according to Prof. Yonny, IPB will always be open to cooperation in education, faculty staff exchange, training, student affairs and even student exchange for credit points studying in IPB. Apart from the academic field, Prof. Yonny also mentioned the research field. IPB has a number of studies for cooperation through a variety of community services with University of Teuku Umar.
 
Meanwhile, Rector of the University of Teuku Umar, Drs. Alfian Ibrahim, MS have got great hopes from this partnership since he was mandated as Rector. He wants to advance South Aceh by making it an agricultural zone, so he hopes IPB to assist the university under his leadership. Gratitude was expressed by Drs. Alfian Ibrahim for IPB openness to collaborate with the university.
 
The event was attended by students of Aceh studying in IPB and followed by a visit to the garden of IPB-Taiwan cooperation (ICDF), student dormitories and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. (Mtd)
