Minister of State Owned Enterprises,Mr.DahlanIskan, greatly appreciated a variety of innovations and new technologies created by academicians of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), one of which is analog rice. "Please send this analog rice to my wife to cook. Please send the originalanalog rice like it is, "said Mr.DahlanIskanwhen he visited the IPBstand at the 7thAgrinex  Expo at the Jakarta Convention Center. The special event was organized by IPB to promote the variety of agricultural superioritiesof Indonesiain collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Performax on 5-7 April 2013.
 
With regard to the superiotyof analog rice, the Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Technology IPB, Dr. Sam Herodianexplained  that this analogrice can substitutecarbohydrates for diabetics. "It is made of variety of materials depending on our needs. In addition, the coloris also changeable depending on the source of the raw materials such as potatoes, carrots, corn, vegetables and so on, "said Dr. Sam. On that occasion, Dr. Sam reminded Mr.Iskan on his promises to grant a car for researcher who successfully created innovations for food diversification, particularly who created rice from variouslocalraw materials.
 
When Dr.Iskan observed the PasirKuda(PK) pineapple bred byone of  IPB researchers, Prof.Sobir,he became so interested in. This special tropical fruit is better than Dompineapple, "Please let our staffknow to contact you to request free samples of this pineapple seeds. We cultivated Dompineapple plantations in Kalimantan, but we failed because such plant could not adaptable to the local environment there. If PKpineapple is really superior tropical fruit, then we’ll start to cultivate there, "he said. As an effort to promote the researchculture, Director of Business and Partnership of IPB, Dr.MeikaSyahbanaRusli, who was accompanied by Director of International Cooperation of IPB, Dr.RineksoSoekmadi, informed that the University will provide incentivize of research funding amounted to 500 million Rupiah/ theme.(Wied).
