PT. Berdikari (Limited) Established Cooperation with IPB to Develop Livestock Farming in Indonesia

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and PT. Berdikari (Limited) has signed the  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between those two institutions, at the meeting room of Rector, the Andi Hakim Nasution Building,  on 6 February 2013. "PT. Berdikari is the only State Owned Ranch Enterprise. Actually we are a holding company consisting of several subsidiaries, but effective on April 2012 we were mandated by the State Owned Enterprises Minister, Mr.DahlanIskan, to focus on Animal Husbandry field, "said the President Director (CEO) of PT. Berdikari (Limited), Mr.Librato El Arief. 

 

"Thank God we have opportunity to meet you here, for us, this social gathering will improve our capabilities to speed up our program on data collecting, increase our expertiseand so on. We understand that academic communities, especially  those of IPB have plenty of  innovations, and those innovations require vehicles for their  implementation.  Hopefully, this MOU will provide a vehicle for both the academic world (IPB) and State Owned Enterprises (PT. Berdikari) to develop sustainablefarm industries in Indonesia, "said Librato El Arif.

 

"I hope we can extend this MoU to improve  theresearch programs as well as community development of the University to foster the farmers to increase their  production," said Dr. Ir. AnasMiftahFauzi, M.Eng

 

We also expect that this partnership will also provide possibilities for our students to do their Field Works at PT. Berdikari (Limited) or its partners, as well as its faculty members to do their research programs to solve various problems which its impacts will be beneficial for the national welfare, "added Prof. Dr. Ir.
