Halal bi Halal of Alumni of GMSK IPB

The Alumni of the Department of Community Nutrition and Family Resource (GMSK) IPB held the Gathering and Halal bi Halal in the Front Yard of the Center for Horticulture and Tropical Fruit Study, (1/9). The program which was immediately initiated by the alumni intended to strengthen the gathering and also encompass the special alumni of the Department of GMSK Batches 14 until 41. “At this time, the Department of GMSK has been changed its name and it is under the Faculty of Human Ecology”, confirmed Ir. Santi Safitri as Chairman of the Steering Committee. “Formerly when we studied, the Department of GMSK is still under the Faculty of Agriculture,” she added.
 
Furthermore, Santi said, Iedul Fitri and Halal bi halal moments according to us were very appropriate to be used to conduct the gathering with Alumni and form the Alumni organization of the Department of GMSK IPB. The Alumni of GMSK themselves at the moment had been a lot to act in various work fields, there were those who worked at government institutions, private institutions, and even entrepreneurs. One of the sponsors of this program was Komunitas Organik Indonesia that came forward various kinds of healthy snacks sourced from the local food.

The Alumni who were present in the program came from various areas in Indonesia like Lombok, Pontianak, Lampung, and other areas. In addition to the Alumni, we also invited lecturers who taught us at the time in the Department of GMSK, both those who were still active and those who were already retired.

“This program is the early step, hopefully to be succeeded in forming the set of Alumni of GMSK IPB, if it has been formed, it will ease us in giving the inputs of thought and contribution for IPB, our beloved campus,“ she said. (dh)
