Prof Sjafri Mangkuprawira as “The Most Inspiring Blogger of IPB”

Prof. Dr. Tb Sjafri Mangkuprawira was ousted   as "The Most Inspiring Blogger of IPB" by the bloggers community of IPB, on the  “IPB Blogging Day” at the  Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasoetion,  Dramaga Campus,  Bogor, on Saturday, 23 June 2012.  A Plaque for the  Most Inspiring Blogger of IPB was awarded by Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, MSc.

Well, for the bloggers community, the blog of Prof. Sjafri  is one of the most complete reference, especially for professors and students. They often use the blog Prof Sjafri as reference when they writing  scientific articles.

The former Head of LPPM IPB was ousted to be inspiring, as at the age of 69 while he has been busy with his routine activities, but he still finds time  to write and express a varous ideas  to share through the social networking. It is of course certainly be an inspiration for young people always to broadcast good virtues. The motto of Prof. Sjafri in his blog, "broadcast good virtues even though only one word, simply for the sake of God".

Meanwhile, Rector of IPB in his remarks said that the bloggers community of IPB should consistently disseminate ideas and achievements, particularly on agriculture, through this social networking. "There are still a lot of young people in this country who still has wrong perceptions of agriculture. For them agriculture is dirty works or slums. Therefore, we should be able to end such misperception by continuing disseminate message that agriculture is very important through social networking like this blog,  "said Rector.

The event which was  organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Student Executive Board (BEM-KM) of IPB, was also attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono, Head of Sub Directorate for  Student Welfare of IPB, Ms.  Megawati Simanjuntak, SP, M.Si ., and hundreds of bloggers of IPB.
