IPB Prepared the Implementation of Electronic Civil Servant Card (KPE)

In the making of Identity Card of PNS which was based on electronic in the scope of Ministry of Education and Culture of RI, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) started to take photograph and finger print of its PNS. The taking of photograph and finger print toward 2,834 PNS were carried out for six days starting from 21 to 28 May 2012.

“The photograph and finger print of this PNS will be used for the identity of PNS in a electronic way, and it is named Electronic Civil Servant Card (KPE). This is in accord with the Rules of the Head of State Civil Service Committee Number 7 in the year of 2008 about Electronic Civil Servant Card. This card as the identity of PNS and the receiver of retired PNS functions the multipurpose for service in the civil servant and the control of civil service data,” said Director of Human Resources of IPB, Erlin Trisyulianti, S.TP, M.Si in her circular letter.

This KPE headed for increasing the care in the civil service and all at once gave the ease for PNS to obtain the care and the civil service and the ease in the care of Askes Taspen and Bapertarum. Besides that, by putting into effect of the KPE with the accuracy level of the accurate data expected could avoid the manipulation of the civil service data impacted to the state finance.

KPE was expected to be able to cut the length of bureaucracy. This KPE used the smart card technology and the authentication of finger print, so beside as the identity of PNS, the KPE also could be used for various services like banking, health, Taspen, Taperum and others. Civil Servant Card (Karpeg) at the moment could not be used for the ease of the giving of multipurpose service to PNS. For that reason, the KPE was developed, so the service system would be more effective and efficient by making use of information technology. (zul)
