State University Archives Development by the National Archives

For the Implementation of the Information System for Dynamic Archives of the  State Universities, the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) invited 4 (four) State Universities as follows; (1). Sam Ratulangi University, Manado; (2). Padjadjaran University, Bandung; (3). Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor; and  (4). University of Diponegoro, Semarang, for the preparaation of consignment Instrument of  the Information System for Dynamic Archives of the  State Universities (SIKD). This special event was held at Arion Swiss-Belhotel, Jakarta, on 19-21 April 2012.

Director of Center for  Archive of  the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI), Drs. M. Taufik, M.Si said that all State Universities in Indonesia must be equiped by such instruments. In addition to be the supporting instruments  for their process to be  the international university, SIKD can also protect archives  from being accessed by unauthorized users, as well as to prevent the abuse of the archives.
 
Further, Mr. Taufik stated that according to the national archival policies of the ANRI, it was stipulated that one of current program activities of ANRI is the development program, that include the archive development of the State Universities. At this special event, the ANRI appreciated Bogor Agricultural University highly as the University has started to plan the guidelines archival codes earlier than other state universities which participated in the event. SIKD Softwares for  each state universities will be officially handed over by the ANRI in June for for immediate implementation.
 
Referring to the archive guidelines designed by Bogor Agricultural University, they will be  incorporated in the SIKD softwares designed by  ANRI, Head of Records Management and Development of Bogor Agricultural University, Ms. Nunung N Qurniati insisted that it is  a must for Higher Learning Institutions  to implement them.
 
In this special event each of University sent a team consisted of 7 (seven) staff for the development of  Instruments SIKD Implementation. Instruments are arranged based on the Collection Policy Statement, Access Policies and Status and authority Manuscript Department. (Wied).
