2011 Japas With A Lot of Doorprizes
By putting out the start flag, the Agriculture Minister, Dr. Suswono, released thousands of participants Jalan Pagi Sehat (Healthy Morning Walk – Japas) 2011, on Saturday, 29 October 2011, on Rectorate Ground, Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The event was held as a series of the University 48th Anniversary. Accompanied the Minister, were Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc., Chairman of the Committee for the 48th Anniversary, Dr. Meika Syahbana Rusli, former Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ansori Mattjik, and the Executive Secretary, Dr. Bonny P.W. Sukarno.
In his short remarks, the Minister expected that Japas will be the stimulant for academicians to socialize “walking in the campus” habit. "Do not just think of the door prices that you come to participate for Japas this morning," said the Minister.
After walking around the campus covering an area of 278 hectares, the participants of Japas were entertained by the performance of Gentra Kaheman SMEs. After that, was the drawing for various door prizes by the committee. The grand prize was the motor cycle which was from the Ministry of Agriculture, one 32 inch LCD TV from the Rector of IPB, and one bike Genio from the Chairman of 48th Anniversary.
In addition to the grand prizes, the committee also sucessfully contacted generous sponsors from units within the University to donat dozens of prizes obtained, such as washing machines, gas cookers, rice cooker, water dispenser, and the bed covers. "Last night I dreamt to give a birth for a child," said the winning mother who won 32 inch LCD TV while she was carrying her ill grandson. She admitted that she got the lucky coupon from her son who works at the Center for Environmental Research (PPLH) LPPM IPB who was ill at that time, and the coupon has won such doorprize. The mother hersself, is the employee of the Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan).
This doorprice certainly made her happy, in the midst of both her son as well as her grandchild were sick. Sincere wishes were delivered by the Secretary of Agriculture Minister, Mr. Wirawan Baran, Chairman of the 48th Anniversary, as well as the University Executive Secretary. "Hopefully the doorprice you won will cause your children and grandchildren healthier," said those officials.
