Writing Competition of Djarum Foundation 2011: IPB as Major Winners
Bogor Agricultural University becomes the major winners in Djarum Foundation Writing Competition 2011. Ahmadun, an IPB student, who is also an alumnus of Beswan Djarum 26, managed to win the second champion and is entitled to get the cash prize of 20 million rupiahs. This student, who is from Wonosobo, produces a work entitled “The Potential Product of Immuno Rice Pouch Products Ready to Eat (IPRE) made from Pre-Cooked Brown Rice, Corn and Nuts as Functional Emergency Food”. The reason to choose this title is he wants to help reduce the suffering of the displaced victims of natural disasters in Indonesia, especially in terms of social recovery, i.e. the fulfillment of nutrients and reduction of post-disaster trauma.
"To ease the distribution and increase the shelf life, the packaging material that I use is the retort pouch or boiling bags because it is resistant and flexible. Thus, the resulted product I call with the name "Immuno Rice Ready to Eat", added Madun, his familiar name.
"Then I hope this product in the future can be mass-produced and become the mainstay of national emergency food so that the disaster mitigation in our beloved country will improve or get better," said Madun. Besides Ahmadun, the third champion is won by another IPB student, Contardo Satria Gondokusumo with his work entitled “Soy Milk-Based Vegetable Cheese to Improve Nutritional Requirement of Indonesian People (Mtd)
