IPB and Ministry of Youth and Sports Train Youth of University Graduates
Bogor Institute of Agriculture and Ministry of Youth and Sports held a Training of Graduates as Movers of Rural Development Mover (PSP-3) in West Java in 2011. It took place at the Center for Human Resource Development (P2SDM), Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM), Campus Baranangsiang IPB, Bogor (12/10).
The training was attended by 35 university graduates from six provinces, namely: Banten (6 people), Yogyakarta (8 people), Jakarta (3 people), Central Java (6 people), East Java (6 people) and West Kalimantan (6 people). It began from 12 to 18 October 2011 in P2SDM IPB and Centre of Zeni Education Engineers (Pusdikzi) of the National Army Bogor.
Head of LPPM IPB, Prof. Dr.Ir. Bambang Pramudya, M. Eng., opened the training marked by embedding participants’ identity to their jackets, witnessed by the Assistant Deputy of Youth Leadership under the Deputy of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohammed Abud Musa’ad; Head of Youth and Sports Division, Kamarul Bakhri, and Secretary of P2SDM IPB, Dr. Ir Panca Dewi Manu Karti Hara S, M.Sc.
"In 2011 Ministry of Youth and Sports collaborate with three universities, one of which is IPB. It is expected that the presence of higher education will give better meaning and the more weight compared with previous programs," said Musa’ad in his speech.
He hopes that this training would make it possible for these graduate youth to accelerate the development in Indonesia.
"There are three tasks that you guys must do when you go down to the villages: the first you should be a mover and a companion, secondly you should be able to empower the community and the last is the attainment of self-reliance. I hope this program becomes a kind of pilot project, because of the involvement in this year of higher educations and participants of across the province," he said.
Meanwhile, Head LPPM, Bambang Pramudya advised them to make the best use of the training. "This training has a lot of benefits, not only materials but also physical benefit (self-discipline)," he said.
After this training they will be assigned for 2 years on the site of assistantship according to their respective placement in the Regencies of Bandung and Subang. Bandung Regency covers 4 districts and 8 villages, namely Ciparay District (Cikoneng and Ciparay Villages), Nagrek District (Citamane and Nagrek Village), Cicalengka District (Cikuya and Cicalengka Village) as well as Cileunyi District (Cimekar and Cinunuk Village). Meanwhile the sites in Subang Regency include 4 districts and 7 villages, namely Jalan Cagak District (Bunihayu and Cimanglid Village), Sagala Herang District (Cijengkol and Dayeuh Kolot Village), Ciater District (Ciater and Palasari Villages), and Cijambe District (Cijambe Village).
For the two years, they will be given an incentive of 2.5 million rupiah per month and stimulus funds for a business capital of 5 million Rupiahs to be paid at the beginning of the year. (Mtd)
