The Splendid of 2011Gebyar Nusantara

Lively, the activities of Gebyar Nusantara held by the Student Executive Board, Bogor Agricultural University, on 1st October 2011, at Grha Widya Graduation, Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The committee presented a variety of attractions and interesting performances of the 33 provinces in Indonesia, from traditional dances, traditional costumes, traditional foods, and other regional cultures.

At the beginning, was the fashion show of traditional costumes of Nusantara which was also the opening of the routine annual program. Then, followed by the the performance of traditional dances which make the program more splendidly.

Booths of Regional Student Organizations (OMDA) from Aceh to Papua made the event more lively. The OMDA that participated the event were Omdas from Aceh, North Sumatra, Kudus, West Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Majalengka, Sumedang, Bandung, Jakarta, Jambi, Banten, Riau, and others.

"Gebyar Nusantara 2011 is a miniature of Indonesia at Bogor Agricultural University campus," said the Chairman of the Organing Committee, Deni, in his opening remarks. Meanwhile, President of the Student Executive Board (Presma) Bogor Agricultural University, Reza Pahlavi, stated in his opening remarks that Gebyar Nusantara is not only the media for exhibition and promotion, but it should also to have a soul or spirit to build Indonesia

"I hope that this event will become the pioner to promote Indonesia, and the University as well. If it is not by youths, who else will organize, "he quoted the words of the first President, Sukarno.
