Josia Anajohn, Won Three Gold for West Java in 2011 XIIth National Student Games
Josiah Anajohn third semester student of Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) – Bogor Agricultural University, won three gold medals for West Java province in swimming at the 2011 XIIth National Student Games (Pomnas), in Batam, Riau Islands, on 18 – 24 September 2011. Josiah won gold for men breaststroke in 50 m, 100 m, and 200 m. He donated 3 of 9 gold medals won by the West Java province.
"I wish I could represent Indonesia at the next ASEAN National Student Games (POMNAS ASEAN), and go international later on ," he said when he was interviewed by IPB Public Relations Team on 30 September 2011.
About 3,500 students from 33 provinces in Indonesia participated in this XIIth National Students Games, held at Batam, Riau Islands. They were competing for 292 gold medals for the 10 sport branches.
Ten sport branches at the XIIth National Students Games were Athletics, Basketball, Ball volleyball, badminton, chess, karate, Pencaksilat, Swimming, Futsal and Sepaktakraw. All branches were played in Batam and concentrated in a few sport venues, such as Mukakuning, Uniba Batam, and Sekolah Harapan Utama Batam Centre.
Josia, who was born in scuba Japan, on 23 January 1992, is the first son of Mr. Karjono and Mrs. Luciana Karjono. (Wied).
