Mohammad Najikh, an alumni of Bogor Agricultural University who become the  the successful businessman  has called for  the government to halt the exportation of raw material commodities and to ban the importation of  finished products. Accordingly, Mr. Najikh has proposed for the government to boost agro-finished products either for export or domestic demands, and will allow the import of raw materials to be processed into finished products.

In addition, Mr. Najikh also proposed for the government to remove  both the business taxation regulations, and the high cost economy. Moreover, the required  infrastructures should be  built  appropriately and the provision of financing for the the  competitive SME in Agro products. 

It was expressed by Najikh in his presentation  " Daya Saing Agroindustri: Pengalaman Empiris Pengusaha = Agro-Industry Competitiveness: Empirical Entrepreneur Experience", at the IVth National Symposium on Agro Industry and Home Coming of Alumni Agroindustrial Technology (TIN) of Bogor Agricultural University, on Saturday, 24 September 2011, at  IICC Bogor.

Previously, Prof. Dr. Eriyatno, Professor in Agroindustrial Technology (TIN) of Bogor Agricultural University expressed that agro-industries should be developed within the framework of local resources based of the economic order, community-oriented and dedicated to improve the better life for all, and don’t think the important of  improving profitability and growing business only.

Agro-industry, he explained, has an important role to buffer as well as the safety valve when the global economic and financial crisis occur  at the national level.

Therefore, agro-industries should go into the metamorphosis  process, they should  not only functioning as the media for profit making for the conglomerates. But they should also functioning as the media get together of local communities and social concerns that underlie the achievement of the welfare of the people, "added Prof. Eriyatno who was accompanied by Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Aji Hermawan

In  the symposium which was attended by hundreds of alumni of  Agroindustrial Technology (TIN) of Bogor Agricultural University the OC launched the new book by Prof. Eriyatno on  " Membangun Ekonomi Komparatif: Strategi Meningkatkan Kemakmuran Nusa dan Resiliensi Bangsa (Comparative Economic Building: The Strategy in Increasing the Prosperity and the Resiliences of the Nation)". The launching  was marked by the handed over a copy of the book to Rector of Bogor Agricultural University Prof. Dr. IPB Herry Suhardiyanto and also to the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee for Agricultural Derivatives Industry of Chamber of Commerce, H. Suharyo Husen. (Wied).
