UKM (Small-Medium Enterprises) under IPB Assistantship Soon to Set Up a Cooperative

In order to strengthen the business incubator of agro-industry and green energy models, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Research and Development, Institute for Research and Community Service (P3K LPPM) IPB in collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs held a Training of Agro-Industry Green Energy at Hotel Pangrango 2 Bogor, (23/9). The training involves dozens of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Bogor town and aims at helping SMEs to market their products, build networks and help with loans. In this training, SMEs are also facilitated in discussions with financial institutions and state-owned enterprises for capital loans. Financial and banking institutions present in the event were Bank Mandiri, BRI, Bank Jabar Banten and PT Sucofindo.

Assistant Deputy for SME Research Division, Ministry of Cooperatives, Ir. Karimuddin, MM encouraged the trainees to establish a legal so that it can build a network, help with marketing and facilitate SMEs to obtain financial aid from financial institutions.

Thanks were expressed by Ir. Karimuddin for the successful development of SMEs with the assistance from IPB. According to him, P3K IPB and University of Brawijaya are state higher education that has been successful in developing SMEs through the establishment of cooperatives.

On the same occasion, Prof. Hadikarya Purwadaria, also known as the father of Indonesia Business Incubator,  emphasized  the importance of the concept of continuous innovation and creativity in the development of small businesses in Indonesia. (Mtd)
