Damandiri Foundation Gives Aid to the Training Centre of Rural Posdaya (P4)
Damandiri Foundation through the Center for Human Resources Development (P2SDM), Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB contributes sewing machines, printers, Technical Module of Animal Breeding, equipment of educative games for early childhood education, and Guide Book of "When There is No Doctor" to six Family Empowerment Posts (Posdaya), which have become the Pilot Posdayas or commonly known as the Training Centre of Rural Posdayas (P4) or Learning Center. The centers include Posdaya Bina Sejahtera of Pasirmulya in West Bogor District, Posdaya Benteng Harapan, Benteng in Ciampea District, Posdaya Bina Sejahtera Mandiri of Cisolok in Sukabumi Regency, Posdaya Kenanga of Situ Gede in West Bogor District, Posdaya As-salam of Sirnagalih in Cianjur Regency, and Posdaya Mandiri Terpadu of Cikarawang in Dramaga District.
The aids were submitted by the Vice Head of Community Service Division, LPPM IPB, Dr. Ir Prastowo on the Training of Posdaya P4 for the Municipality and Regency of Bogor, Cianjur and Sukabumi in the Meeting Room of P2SDM IPB, (22 / 8). Dr. Prastowo hopes that the training of Posdaya will improve the human resource capacity of Posdaya especially in four aspects: education, health, environment and poverty alleviation.
Earlier according to the Supervisory Team of the Implementation of Extension Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (BP4K) of Bogor Regency, Lusi says that in 2012 the government of Bogor Regency will roll back the social assistance funds to help increase the community welfare through Posdayas in Bogor Regency. The social funds will be launched according to the proposals from Posdayas that need assistance in the regency
Lusi added, this year there are 13 Posdayas that have received the assistance of social funds from the government of Bogor Regency. Meanwhile as for the Posdaya in Bogor Regency, according to the Posdaya Supervisor of P2SDM IPB, Ir. Yanefri Bachtiar, MSI says, "Actually Head of Bogor Regency, H Rahmat Yasin wants all villages in the Regency to have a Posdaya." (Mtd)
