Talkshow and Industrial Visit by Kudus Regional Student Organization

KKB MK (Kudus Family in Bogor Menara Kota) is the organization of students  from Kudus, Central java. Within the the IPB campus, KKB MK is one the Regional Student Organizations  (Omda) which is quite active. The organization was founded by its alumni, at the beginning it was only the informal organization named the Alumni Circle, as a place for the  family gathering in the problem solving while they learned at Bogor Agricultural University. Over the years, this Family Circle then was developed into the student organization with development and innovation programs. As the organization whose members are mainly Bogor Agricultural University students, KKB MK tried to introduce agriculture develpment programs to the community of their hometown (the Kudus Regency).
 
KKB MK Back to Kudus Program was wrapped  in the form of talk shows and industrial visit with the theme "Agriculture for Our Future" on 14 July 2011. The purpose of this activity was to widen the insight of high school and vocational students, teachers, and the community at large on the agriculture in the broad sense and to promote Bogor Agricultural University as a university-based agricultural and leading higher learning institution in  agriculture; as well as to assist these young generations to develop their regions by developing the potentialilty of their regions.
 
264 participants attended the event which was held at the Kudus Regency Hall. Ir. Budi Santoso, MM, Drs. Muh. Mufid, Apt, Dr. Ir. Swastiko Priyambodo, M. Si, and Ahmad Dean, S. Kom were invited as speakers for the event.  In addition to the talk show, the guided-tour to PT Mubarok Food Industry, Kudus, was planned for participants. (Wied).
