Bogor Agricultural University Won 3 Golds Medals from PIMNAS

Bogor Agricultural University won 3 (three) medals  equivalent to golden medals, 4 silvers, 2 bronzes and 1 champion favorite, at the 2011 XXIVth National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), held at the University of Hasanuddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on 18 – 22 Juli 2011.
 
At this present 2011 XXIVth  PIMNAS, overall Bogor Agricultural University  won the highest number in gold medal for Supplement Contest, 2 (two)  gold medals out of the 4 (four) that were competed, and the favorite champion for Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K). 
 
The gold medals won by the Student for Creativity Program Community Services (PKM-M) II, and  2 (two) golds for Supplement Contest, 1 (one) for Entrepreneurship Writing Competition, and the other 1 (one)  for Environmental Writing competition.

Silver medals won by Poster Presentation and the Student Creativity Program for Research (PKM-P) I, Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) I, Creativity Program Community Services (PKM-M) I, and Creativity Program for Research (PKM-P) II. Whereas, the Bronze medals were for Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) I and Creativity Program for Research (PKM-P) II.
 
Out of the 350 (three hundred fifty) proposals which were funded by the Ministry of National Education and were accepted by the OC of  the 2011 XXIVth PIMNAS,  35,000 (thirty five thousand) proposed by students from various universities throughout Indonesia passed into the final round.
 
Overall, the result of 2011 XXIVth PIMNAS, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) team was the first winner, then followed by Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS), Semarang State University (UNS), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and University Brawijaya (UB). As the overall winner Gadjah Mada University team, Jogyakarta, was entitled to be awarded the trophy “Adikarta Kertawidya”. 
 
"I am really proud to see the seriousness, dedication and struggle performed by our  students, they have competed with other students from different universities in Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. They’ve fighted, and have successfully defended and and finally their proposals were selected for the 2011 XXIVth, they are really true winners. They are really the true team that we should be proud of, but about the loss in championship it is actually the delay winner.  We appreciated other universities who became champions because they had been worked harder to prepare for the present PIMNAS, "expressed the Executive Secretary of Bogor Agricultural University, Dr.Bonny PW Soekarno,MS., in the closing ceremony. He expected the University will pay more attention to the creative works of the students for its sustainability, as those works might be benefitial to assist our communities in solving the current problems.
 
This year Bogor Agriccultural University 101 (one hundred one) students as  2011 XXIVth PIMNAS participants, and 20 (twenty) faculty members as supervisors, and  the rest were officers and crew of Bogor Agricultural University. Out of the 450 (four hundred fifty) proposals accepted by the Organizing Committee of the XXIVth PIMNAS and funded by Ministry of National Education, of 22 (twenty two) of them were from Bogor Agricultural University.  Those proposals were consisted of Student Creativity Program for Research (PKM-P) 13 (thirteen) proposals, Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) 3  (three) proposals, Student Creativity Program Community Services (PKM-M) 2 (two)  proposals, Student Creativity Program for Applied Technology (PKM-T) 2 (two) proposals,  and Student Creativity Program for Written Ideas (PKM-CM) 2 (two) proposals. In addition, to the previous proposals, some proposals for Supplement Contest of the  2011 XXIVth PIMNAS were also accepted. Those proposals were consisisted of 1 (one) for Entrepreneurship Writing Competition, 1 (one)  for Environmental Writing competition,  and 1 (one) for Maritim Writing Competition.

The 2011 XXIVth National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) had been held at the University of Hasanuddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on 18 – 22 Juli 2011,  and the theme was the Maritime. This national event was participatated by 457 (four hundred and fifty seven) teams from 91 (ninety one) universities all over Indonesia. Most of the of student’  proposals submitted to the PIMNAS were displayed in the exhibition held at the University of Hasanuddin campus, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Tamalanrea, Makassar. (Wied).
