Friday Tour in Cihideung Udik: IPB Prepares Saung Tani
Farmers of the villages around IPB Campus of Darmaga do not need to worry if they want to discuss or consult things related to agriculture, fisheries, livestock and others. Currently IPB has provided "Saung Tani" located in the village of Cihideung Udik precisely in RW 06, Bogor Regency.
Saung Tani, officially opened recently, on Friday, July 15, 2011 by Vice-Rector for Research and Cooperation IPB, Dr. Ir. Anas Fauzi Miftah, would later become a meeting place for experts from IPB with the farmers of the villages around the Campus to discuss aspects related to their agricultural products.
Vice Head of LPPM IPB for Community Services, Dr. Ir. Prastowo says that LPPM will make the assistantship agenda scheduled for the continuity of communication between farmers and experts from IPB.
On the occasion of this Friday Tour in the Village of Cihideung Udik, IPB gives seven sheep, limo orange and carp seedlings. Dr. Prastowo hopes with this aid the living standards of Cihideung Udik Villagers can improve.
Related to the problem of waste and clean environment, no difference exits compared to other villages surrounding IPB campus, and Dr. Prastowo advises to focus it first on a single RT (neighborhood) to be developed into one location that is really clean and healthy environmentally. After this is clearly achieved, it is transferred to other RTs (neighborhoods). (Mtd)
