Pos Family Empowerment (Posdaya) "Sauyunan" in Kampung Rawakalong,  Ciherang village,  of Bogor regency recently welcame the official guests from the Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi province, on Tuesday 28 June 2011. The Observation Study Tour (OST) team was greeted by rebana players form marawis Pesantren Nurul Falah and they put a bunch of  palm leaf on them. 

At the site,  the delegation which was led by the wife of the Donggala Regent, Mrs. Habir Ponulele, was scheduled to visit the Infermery Health Center (Posyandu). In the Health Center which is located in one of the villager’ home, dozens of todlers who were taking their green bean porridge had been waiting for the delegation. Next to the Health Center, there is Posbindu, the meeting venue for senior citizens.

In Posdaya,  which is under the supervision of the  Center for Human Resources Development (P2SDM) the  Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) IPB, they plant the nutrition plants (Nutritious Garden), and Family Medicinal Plants Garden (TOGA), and also the site for kindergarten of Early Childhood Education, Sharia Microfinance Institutions (LKM), livestock farm, processing salted eggs, pecel sauce home indstry, and small handicrafts center.

Head of P2SDM LPPM IPB, Dr. Pudji Muljono, explained the present Observation Study Tour was the 9th of its kind, the delegation was planned to visit the Posdaya. The delegation was splitted into 2 (two) groups, one to visit the  Posdaya Sauyunan at the Bogor Regency, and the other one to visit Posdaya Anggrek, at the Sindangsari village, Bogor Timur District," said Dr. Pudji

According to one of the researchers of the P2SDM, Ir. Yannefri Bachtiar, M.Sc., in addition to the delegation of the Donggala Regency, eight universities, namely University Pakuan (Unpak), Bogor;  Universitas Ibn Khaldun (UIKA), Bogor; Suryakancana University, Cianjur; University of Muhammadiyah, Sukabumi; Singaperbangsa University, Karawang; University of Subang; Wiralodra University, Indramayu; and Lampung University  also participated in the tour. 

Before the field trip, the official reception for all the participants was held at the  Baranangsiang Campus by the Director of the  Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM), Prof. Dr. Bambang Pramudya. Presented  at the reception, the representatives of Bogor Municipality,  Dra. Nia Kurniasih, and  of the Bogor Regency, Ir. Farida Huriati, MM. (Wied).
