IPB University Student Regiment Participates in the 2026 Uniform Bodies Convention in Malaysia
The IPB University Student Regiment (Menwa) participated in the 2026 Uniform Bodies Convention (UNICON’26) held in Malaysia. This event served as a platform for collaboration among various uniformed organizations from different countries to strengthen networks, enhance leadership capabilities, and foster a spirit of transnational brotherhood.
The Commander of IPB University’s Menwa, Fadhel Adi Nugroho, stated that participation in UNICON’26 reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting the development of its members’ competencies, not only in terms of discipline and leadership but also in fostering a global perspective and the ability to adapt in an international environment.
“Through this forum, the IPB Menwa delegation had the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss best practices in managing student organizations, and introduce the values of service that define the Indonesian Student Regiment,” said Fadhel.
The delegates participated in a variety of events, including the International Convention Talks, Menwa Command, Future Leaders Uniform, National Uniform Parade, and collaborative activities with participants from various educational institutions and uniformed organizations in Malaysia. These diverse activities were designed to enhance cross cultural communication skills, strengthen teamwork, and develop leadership perspectives that are adaptable to global challenges.
In addition to participating in the main agenda, the IPB University Menwa also introduced Indonesian culture through interactions with international participants. This opportunity was utilized as a means of cultural diplomacy to strengthen bonds among participants while showcasing Indonesia’s cultural diversity to the international community. This participation reflects the role of students as ambassadors of the nation who can project a positive image of Indonesia on the international stage.
Fadhel also noted that participation in UNICON’26 is part of the organization’s efforts to cultivate human resources with strong character, a global outlook, and the ability to serve as positive representatives of Indonesia on the international stage.
“The IPB University Student Militia’s participation in UNICON’26 is not only an opportunity to learn from various uniformed organizations at the international level, but also a chance to demonstrate that Indonesian students possess leadership qualities, discipline, and a spirit of service capable of competing on the global stage,” he said.
Through its participation in UNICON’26, the IPB University Student Regiment hopes to inspire Indonesian students to continue developing their competencies, broadening their international perspectives, and forging collaborations that benefit the community, the nation, and the country.
