The Quality Family School (SKB) Program 2026 officially began at the Al Haris Islamic Boarding School, Balang Baru Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province (7/10).

This activity, started by the Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I), is part of IPB University’s effort to build quality Indonesian families through close guidance from facilitators to participating families.

A total of 16 families joined this interactive activity. Participants received guidance on the importance of building healthy, harmonious, and strong families as the main foundation for raising quality future generations.

In the material session, Muhammad Yusran Basri, facilitator for SKB 2026, presented material titled “Strengthening Family Functions and the 1.000 HPK Method for Stunting Prevention.”

In his presentation, he stressed that families play a central role in shaping a child’s character, health, and future through strengthening the eight family functions, positive parenting, and attention to nutrition from pregnancy until the child turns two years old.

“Stunting prevention is not only the responsibility of health workers, but the responsibility of every family member. The best investment parents can make is making sure their child gets good care, a healthy environment, and proper nutrition from the first 1.000 Days of Life,” said Muhammad Yusran Basri while presenting the material.

The atmosphere of the activity was warm and open. Participants actively discussed and asked questions about the challenges of raising children, keeping family harmony, and meeting nutritional needs while facing economic difficulties. This dialogue based approach is expected to give practical solutions that families can use in daily life.

The SKB 2026 Program does not stop after the material session. After the learning activity, all participating families will receive ongoing guidance covering stronger parenting practices, family financial management, building family resilience, and meeting nutritional needs real steps to prevent stunting and improve family quality of life.

Through the Quality Family School program, IPB University and its facilitators hope to raise public awareness that the family is a child’s first and most important place of learning. With strong, healthy, and prosperous families, it is hoped that Indonesia will raise a generation that is smart, has good character, and can contribute to national development. (*/Rz)(IAAS/ST)
