The Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I) at IPB University, through the One Village One CEO (OVOC) International 2026 program, is conducting a series of international activities in South Korea. These activities are part of efforts to strengthen global networks, promote IPB University’s flagship programs, and showcase the potential of Indonesia’s agromaritime products and innovations on the international stage.

The series of activities began with the participation of an IPB University delegation at the Korea Seafood Show 2026, held on May 20, 2026. This event served as a strategic platform to broaden perspectives on the development of the global fisheries and seafood industry, while also opening opportunities for international collaboration in product innovation, downstream processing, and sustainable agromaritime development.

The IPB University delegation attending this event consisted of Dr Roza Yusfiandayani, Syifa Damaianti Suwandi, SPt, MSi, and Sherly Eka Maulidiya, SP.

Furthermore, the team conducted a presentation on the OVOC International program at Yonsei University in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Students in South Korea (Perpika). During the event, the team introduced various community empowerment programs, rural entrepreneurship development initiatives, and innovation acceleration efforts implemented through OVOC International.

Not only that, the event also featured a coffee cupping workshop as a means to introduce the rich flavors of Indonesian coffee to international students and the Indonesian diaspora in South Korea. Participants were provided with an understanding of the characteristics of Indonesian coffee, basic coffee cupping techniques, and practical exercises in identifying coffee aromas and flavors. This activity received high enthusiasm from participants as it successfully introduced the potential of Indonesian coffee while strengthening cultural ties between Indonesia and South Korea.

A similar agenda was held again at Seoul National University. On that occasion, the team once again promoted the OVOC International program as a flagship program of IPB University focused on village development based on innovation, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment. Additionally, the coffee cupping training was conducted again as a form of cultural diplomacy and promotion of Indonesia’s flagship commodities within the international academic community.

Dr Roza Yusfiandayani stated that the OVOC International activities in South Korea represent a crucial step in strengthening global collaboration and introducing Indonesia’s agromaritime innovations and potential to the international community.

“Through this event, we hope that OVOC International can serve as a platform for cross-border collaboration in the development of innovation, rural entrepreneurship, and capacity building for the younger generation to foster sustainable development,” she said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/ASY)
