Achievement

IPB University successfully took home five awards in the Perhumas PR Excellence Award (PREA) 2023 event. The award was received by the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria at the Indonesian Public Relations Convention ‘Maju Bersama for Indonesia’ in Semarang, Saturday (2/9).

In the event held by the Indonesian Public Relations Association (Perhumas), IPB University won the following awards:

– 1st Place in Internal PR Category Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Theme, Sustainable Campus Waste Management Communication Program

– 1st Place in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Category General Theme, Green Cibanteng Communication Program

– 2nd Place in Internal Category PR General Theme, IPB University Rector Policy Communication Program for Sustainable Management

– 2nd Winner of ESG Theme CSR Category, One Village One CEO (OVOC) Communication Program IPB University

– 3rd Place in the General Theme PR Digital Category, Communication Program Socialization of New Student Admissions IPB University

In addition, IPB University was also shortlisted in the category of corporate PR with a general theme and country branding.

PREA 2023 competition was attended by public relations institutions from various circles, both government public relations, corporate public relations, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regionally owned enterprises (BUMD) and university public relations in Indonesia.

The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, expressed his gratitude for this achievement. He also paid his regards to this achievement. “Alhamdulillah, I am grateful that IPB University has won five awards in this year’s Perhumas PR Excellence Award. It is certainly not easy to become a PR Excellence in today’s fast changing times,” he said.

“We are also proud of the Communications Bureau team at IPB University, who continue to improve their communications performance, always striving to provide the best information to the public and to enhance the reputation of IPB University as an institution,” Prof Arif continued.

The Rector also hoped, “Hopefully this achievement can be an encouragement to be even better in providing services in the field of communication.” He emphasised that public relations work is not aimed at imaging, but to communicate the work.

Head of Communication Bureau of IPB University, Yatri Indah Kusumastuti said that this achievement was thanks to the support and cooperation of various work units in IPB University. Regarding participation in this competition, Yatri said, “Our participation in various public relations competitions is a kind of barometer for our public relations performance, where we have come. This is a form of evaluation of the programmes that have been carried out and what still needs to be improved in the future,” she said. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/MKY)
