SI IPB, Dr Ibnul Qayim, in his speech said, the correspondence was seeimgly a simple job, but in fact it was very important. He cited the case of the critical role or archives, which at some time ago IPB could have been defeated by the other party who claimed the land of the campus of Management and Busins (MB) of IPB. But with the original ownership documents which were still well preserved, IPB was able to maintain the land of MB intended. Therefore, he appreciated the structuring of correspondence from time to tome which was judged the better. “The existence of SIMAS helps us work easier, cheaper and smarter,” said Dr Ibnul Qayim.

Previously, the Head of Secretariat Office of the Rector of IPB, Alim Setiawan, STP, Msi, explained, that in this SIMAS there were the role of the alumni of IPB namely Rades Wandri, S.Kom, who was the Director of RadesTech engaged in the field of IT, and the support from the Director of Data Integration and Information System (IDSI) of IPB.

Alim said, SIMAS was made in order to adapt to the environment which always went with the dynamic and the rapid change. “Alhamdulillah, after it is first created and applied within the Secretariat Rector, it can run well. If before there is SIMAS, searching the letter archives takes a long time, then the system is very fast to find the record we are looking for. Another plus is this application is based on the web, that it can be accessed both inside and outdoor,” said Alim.  The workshop followed by the representatives of Directorate, Office, Bureau, and Supporting Unit was also filled with the Socialization of SIMAS by Rades Wandri, S.Kom and the simulation or case study by the partcipants.
