Succeeded to Learn with ICT IPB
Directorate of Data Integration and Information System (DIDSI) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held IPB ICT Week (27-28/9) with the headline of ?Succeeded to Learn with ICT IPB? in the Auditorium of Common Class Room (CCR), Campus of IPB Dramaga (27/6). The activity was attended by 51st batch of the studenst of IPB consisting of some series of events, amongst them were Public Lecture and Exhibition of Information and Technology (IT). The public lecture presented the resource persons, including Dr. Idat Galih Permana, Dr. Irman Hermadi, Drs. Mahfuddin Zuhri, M.Si, Asep Mulyana, S.Kom, M. Kom, Siti Nuryati, S.TP, M.Si, and Firman Ardiansyah, S.Kom, M.Si. Not to forget, in this event it was also available the service booths for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from various vendors and expos of all facilities of IT IPB managed by DIDSI.
Director of IDSI IPB, Dr. Idat Galih Permana explained about the development of ICT IPB, Webometrics and Computer Ethics. The socialization of ICT had long been held at IPB. But this time was the first time held the public lecture activity in the socialization of ICT. Director of IDSI also urged the students to use ICT well. One of them was the use that should be legal and ethical, i.e. by using the legal software and having been available by DIDSI IPB. Dr. Idat also explained the ethics in using the social media which was very popular among students.
Not to forget, in the Public Lecture it was also explained about the Service of ICT IPB that could be accessed by the students. There were some services of ICT for new students of IPB amongst all were internet services, ID-IPB, Student Cyber, IPB Microsoft Open Value Subscription for Education Solution (IMOVSES), Google Apps, Hotspot (WiFi), SIM for Academic, SIM for Graduates, and Scientific Portal.
In this occasion, Head of Public Relation, Law Office, Promotion, and Public Relation (KHPH) of IPB, Siti Nuryati, S.TP M.Si conveyed the material related to Writing Articles Online. ?Why do we have to write? Writing is the activity to share knowlege in order to benefit more people. Writing is a means of expressing ideas and concepts,? she said.? She parsed, many paper products that could be made by students and were helpful for many of them including the citizen journalism, hobby, experience, vent inspiring, scientific/competency, and popular issues that existed around us. In her presentation, the winner of Young Writers of Agriculture Award 2009 also socialized and stressed to the students that writing was easy. (RF)
